One Vision Day is about giving back and spreading our visionary foresight in a variety of different ways, from sourcing donations to educating about healthcare sustainability and sharing our insights with the next generation.
HOYA’s One Vision Day 2024 celebrations in Japan saw employees from the Innovation, Employee Health & Safety, Commercial, and Product Engineering divisions volunteer to teach several classes at the Tokyo Optometric College. Classes included lens engineering, products knowledge, progressive lens science, and eyeglass fashion studies.
Our team started the One Vision Day 2024 event with a virtual kick-off meeting with students and staff for the new academic year, which started in April. Our colleagues in Japan have enjoyed working with the students over the past few months, inspiring the optical industry’s newest professionals with insights into how the future of eye care can become more sustainable.

In March 2024, HOYA marked One Vision Day with global initiatives to cut environmental impact. Teams in Germany, Hungary, China, Vietnam, the UK, and Japan participated in ‘Clean Up Days’ to tackle waste pollution at their offices and production sites.
