HOYA Lens Iberia joined in the One Vision Day celebrations earlier this year by planning their own reforestation activity. Focusing on the ‘Environment’ branch of One Vision, our colleagues in Spain came together to plant an incredible 250 trees in the south of Madrid.
Reforestation efforts aid the protection of the environment in various ways, from helping to combat soil erosion to enhancing local air quality and reducing CO2 levels.
Not only did this initiative bring our team at HOYA Lens Iberia closer together, fostering greater connections and collaboration among our colleagues, but it also serves as another example of how HOYA Vision Care is committed to improving the sustainability of our practices and our communities.
We hope the trees planted in Madrid will continue to flourish as we carry on working together towards a greener future!

In March 2024, HOYA marked One Vision Day with global initiatives to cut environmental impact. Teams in Germany, Hungary, China, Vietnam, the UK, and Japan participated in ‘Clean Up Days’ to tackle waste pollution at their offices and production sites.
One Vision Day focuses on giving back and sharing insights. In 2024, HOYA employees in Japan volunteered at Tokyo Optometric College, teaching classes on lens engineering, product knowledge, and sustainable eye care.
Earlier this year, HOYA celebrated ‘One Vision month’ – a March-long drive dedicated to giving back to our communities, our workplace, and impacting the environment with local initiatives.
